Re: Official Movie Thread
Woah now let's not get carried away! Let's save that statement for a truly awful sequel of a sequel of a sequel of a sequel that was not made by Tim Burton.
Then again, I have a hard time remembering anything that happened in the last one so I may have just blocked it out entirely. But I do remember parts of Batman and Robin. I suppose that says something...
I heard good things about some Lego movie that's been in theaters. Anybody hear anything about Robocop?
Also. Check this out:

Re: Official Movie Thread
The last Transformers movie was really bad but the new one is looking decent at least. As for Robocop, I haven't heard a whole lot about it. Godzilla should be good. Disaster movies are usually fun to watch.
Not sure if anyone here has played The Last of Us but that has a really good story and they are supposed to be making a movie too. If they stay true to the story, it could be a great movie.

Oh that'd make a great movie. Nothing like a good end of the world movie on a Saturday night. I haven't played it because last I checked there was no PC version Which was upsetting because I've heard such great things about it.
Re: Official Movie Thread
So, not a movie, but what do you guys think about Star Wars Rebels?
I didn't like how they just dropped Clone Wars without finishing up the story, and there's no lightsabers... so

Star Wars without lightsabers is like life without cake. It's just not right

Re: Official Movie Thread
That's exactly what I was thinking, actually. What a sad, sad world that would be.
Kind of almost as sad as this, except this actually looks like it'll be hilariously fantastic and I can't wait:

Re: Official Movie Thread
The Star Wars team is thrilled to announce the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII.
Actors John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, and Max von Sydow will join the original stars of the saga, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker in the new film.
Director J.J. Abrams says, "We are so excited to finally share the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII. It is both thrilling and surreal to watch the beloved original cast and these brilliant new performers come together to bring this world to life, once again. We start shooting in a couple of weeks, and everyone is doing their best to make the fans proud."
Star Wars: Episode VII is being directed by J.J. Abrams from a screenplay by Lawrence Kasdan and Abrams. Kathleen Kennedy, J.J. Abrams, and Bryan Burk are producing, and John Williams returns as the composer

Iiiinteressstingggggg...
The actress sitting between Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher is rumored to be playing Han and Leia's daughter...
Re: Official Movie Thread
And it's being released Dec 18 2015. That's only 20 months away... Kinda wish they hadn't announced that. The wait is gonna be brutal lol.
But yea, it will be interesting to see how the story is gonna be continued.

Re: Official Movie Thread
As I've been thinking about it, I could see Luke as this wise old Jedi master type now. If the original cast are all support roles like trainers and such, it wouldn't be so bad. I bet Han will crack a few "back in my day" jokes.
Re: Official Movie Thread
Watched the 2nd spidey movie last week and I thought it was just ok. Done a better job with the 1st imo. I dunno but there's 3 villains this time around, Electro being the main one. The other 2 villains (Green Goblin & Rhino) seemed kinda rushed and just thrown in for the sake of having them in the movie. Other than that, I've seen it all before.
Anyway I'm looking forward to Godzilla coming out this month. It should be good.

Looks like that guy has turned to the darkside. But I understand what he is saying. They could of waited an extra week to announce the cast on May the 4th. What are they gonna do on Star Wars day now? It's not as if they are gonna have a trailer to release.

Re: Official Movie Thread
Seriously who the f***! has been waiting for a Power Rangers reboot??
I used to watch it when I was a kid but man just looking back now, it was terribly bad lol. Looked so fake.

Re: Official Movie Thread
I'm kind of in shock and awe at that news. It's like they've completely run out of good ideas. I mean, of all the possibilities, why Power Rangers.........
On the other hand, watch it be some kind of ultra high budget giant smash hit summer blockbuster movie.

Re: Official Movie Thread
You could be right Wonkster. It could surprise everyone and end up being totally awesome. But I'm skeptical, to say the least.

Re: Official Movie Thread
Lol oh man they're seriously running out of ideas I never really got into Power Rangers since it was pretty corny. It was just one of those shows I'd watch while snackin' on some cookies or something. I don't think this movie will fare well. I have yet to watch the new Spider-Man movie, as well as the new Captain America movie.
Re: Official Movie Thread
I'm looking forward to the new X-men movie even though people say that the story is a bit confusing with all the time travelling and stuff. The 1st X-men movie was on tv the other night so I decided to watch the entire trilogy again. And I never actually seen First Class so I've ordered that lol.

Re: Official Movie Thread
Look, time travel is all very simple:
First, when you go back don't interact with your past self. The encounter could create a time paradox, the result of which could cause a chain reaction that would unravel the very fabric of the space-time continuum and destroy the entire universe! Granted, that's a worst-case scenario. The destruction might in fact be very localized, limited to merely our own galaxy.
Second, when you go forward never interfere in the natural order of things. Unless there are children crying, then always interfere.
Third, try to stay off the radar of the Federation Timeship Relativity. They will pull you out of your timeline and send you back to stop yourself from doing whatever you did to cause a temporal incursion in the first place, and then you will cease to exist while a different you skips off with your life.
And lastly, whatever you do, don't step on any butterflies!

Looks like The X-men don't care about the rules of time travel...

No no nonono! What were they thinking! Fabric of the universe! Unraveling paradox! Don't they know anything?!
Re: Official Movie Thread
Don't worry. I'm sure that's just some kind of telepathic projection that the professor sent back in time to give a message to his younger self. Technically, that's not breaking the rules right?
Right Doc??
