Less than two months to go until THE END!!! I pose the following question for your consideration:
What's your survival plan?


The building where I work used to be the old town hall and there's a vault in the basement with a thick metal door. Plan A is to stock that with food and water and wait out the apocalypse, whatever form it may take.

Plan B is a secure alarm monitoring building down the street I have access to. The owner has a particular fondness for guns.

Plan C is a rooftop with one or more of those guns.


I've also made an apocalypse bunker in Minecraft, fully stocked with food and protected by bedrock, for my digital self to take refuge in.


I think I'm all set. Bring it on!!!

So Frankenstorm is in full swing here and it's kinda crazy out. I'm not being hit by the brunt of the storm, looks like it's going to be smashing right into Jersey (wipe that dump right off the map!) sometime tonight or tomorrow.

The wind is pretty steady... you can just hear it roaring in the distance even between gusts when it's fairly calm looking. Sounds as if you lived right beside a highway, except more... hollow sounding.

I wonder if Kaibeans is being hit at all up in Bahstuhn. Hey KAIBEANS! Where are ya?

The wind is starting to die down a tad bit... it's still pretty steady but the gusts aren't as gusty as they were before. It'll be interesting to see what happens as it remains this steady through tomorrow. Can the trees take it? How long can they hold out??

A friend had the power lines ripped right off his house by a tree that was felled by a good strong gust. So it's candlelight, kumbaya, and ghost stories for him for the next week I think. I'm assuming it's going to take a while for someone to get out there and fix that since the power lines attached to your house are technically your property and the town doesn't have to do anything about it.

They did come out and rope off the area, and I assume they'll return tomorrow to cut power to make everything safe. As of right now, there's live power lines draped across his car. Yikes!

Wow, that's insane! A couple of my friends don't have power, but otherwise it's been about the same for the past few hours, with the occasional rumble and tumble here and there.

It's looking like a slower, steady wind here today. Mostly it's died down though, and I made it through with only a few small power blips. I expect Jersey is being ripped a new one about now though.
