Re: Official Music Thread
My ears want me to click stop but my fingers refuse to click; they're too busy tapping to that persistent, permeating beat. My poor eyes are left caught in an insufferable combination of bewilderment and bemoaning.
... make it stop!

Re: Official Music Thread
It may be one of their shorter songs (not really tho) but it's still epic.

Re: Official Music Thread
Honestly, I'm impressed at the fact that they aren't lip syncing and playing prerecorded music. I'd rather see a performance with mistakes like that than a recorded one.

Oh noes, someone sharing a clip on youtube so more people get to see it and maybe end up getting interested in the thing perhaps even watching it next time it airs is totally going to make people watch that youtube clip instead of the original thing when it airs which is going to take money out of our pockets and make us go broke to the point where we only have eleventy SIX kazillion dollars in the bank instead of eleventy SEVEN kazillion dollars and that would be the end of the world so we'd better force google to remove that clip from youtube let's go get them on the telegraph right now to tell them how terrible they are for letting someone share a thing they think is really cool with other people who might think it's really cool too and if it were up to us they wouldn't be allowed to be in business at all but then secretly we'd make the same service they made so we could make all the money they make because really we don't want anyone else to be able to make money we need all the money ever to stuff it all in our pockets right now look I'm taking a bath in all the money I have they say you can't take it with you when you die but just watch me

Re: Official Music Thread
Haha well I've put up a new clip. It's just Nick Jonas failing miserably at a guitar solo.
Here's another face melting solo.
Bet you guys didn't know you could get that kinda sound from an unplugged acoustic guitar eh?

Re: Official Music Thread
That's actually really interesting. It's also highly coincidental since I was just conversing with Wonko about distortion effects on guitars. It goes to show how important the pickups are in guitar tone, as well as the amp. The pickups basically use magnets to transduce the frequency to the amplification system, which in the case of distortion (overdrive) produce that characteristic tone. So everyone is freaking out and spending a bajillion dollars on guitars when they just need a stringed instrument that's well-intonated with decent pickups and a good amp

Re: Official Music Thread
I've never really listed to much metal music before, but I think it's beginning to grow on me honestly. I went to a rap concert recently 'cause a friend had a spare ticket, and I was astounded by how atrocious it was. Lip-syncing and mumbling. It sort of got me thinking about music that I didn't really listen to when I was younger but listed to now. I used to not be into folky or classical music, but I like it now. I thought I'd be able to get down with rap music, but I don't think it's going to happen. I can dig metal, though.
