Oh yeah, it's the third in their so-called "Blood and Ice-Cream Trilogy," even though none of the films are related...

Shaun of the Dead is on my rainy day movies list. I'll get to it eventually. Not sure about the other one though, never cared for anime.

Yea I've seen some good brit films including hot fuzz and shaun of the dead. Locked, stocked & two smoking barrels is another classic.
There is also another film called The Cottage which shows that decapitating heads can sometimes be funny. Its full of gore XD

It's a shame your not more open minded about anime... I mean after all it's just another means of telling a story (and a very good one in this case ) like a TV series or a game or a book
Edit: ohh and as we are on the topic of british films, Trainspotting is a good one

I used to have an open mind, but my brains kept falling out.
Some people don't like sci-fi films, I don't like anime. It's got nothing to do with an open or closed mind.

'Sides, Britain created Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, so without us you'd never have Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead, Spaced or any of the other good sh*t they created.
Plus, we have Wallace and Gromit! PWNED!

Not to mention the internet; we created ARPANET, but they brought out the first international packet switched network which led to TCP/IP

Re: Official Movie Thread
I just finished the farscape series.
It had it's moments. I give it a so-so rating.
Better than most series, but some of the episodes just sucked and it too long to develop a long-term plot.
The end of season two was good and so was the end of season four and movie.
BattleStar Galitica got stale at towards the end too though although overall I would still put it higher on the list than Farscape.

It's not Farscape's fault you're too impatient.

BSG's plot development was even slower than Farscape's! It was like watching glass melt! Or a solid metal I-beam. Or concrete...
@blivvy: The previews for This is It sorta seem iffy.. what was the movie's focus? Is it mostly behind the scenes type stuff? Was this meant to be a live stage performance that they turned into a movie? Or was the movie going to be released anyway? And why two weeks only?
Re: Official Movie Thread
It's only for 2 weeks because when that time is up, MJ will reveal himself to the public claiming it was a publicity stunt when it was really a tax-dodge.Wonko the Sane wrote:Was this meant to be a live stage performance that they turned into a movie? It mostly shows the rehearsals of his songs for the tour he was gonna do and some behind the scenes stuff too. They actually came up with some new intro movies for some songs. Thriller and Smooth Criminal were the best ones.
MJ never lost a beat. His voice sounded better than ever and his dance moves were amazing. Trust me, if u r a fan at all go see this now.
Also I heard it was gonna be extended to thanksgiving. It made like 100 million on the 1st weekend too

BSG
I think BSG would have been terrible without having watched it large chunks and after the seasons were already out.
Been you watch several episodes at once it was good.
