The plastic ones haha...I remember we all ended up shooting each other anyways because the arrows were also plastic.

I got a RC helicopter for christmas.
Would you say a good helicopter is one that spins out of control and crashes and burns? Because I haven't ever really played with a RC helicopter and yeah, it has a mind of its own.
But other than that, I got Sims 3.
Re: Merry Christmas 2012!
I don't think that's what a good helicopter does, no. Amusing, possibly hilarious, but good?
The chopper I got turned out to be pretty amazing. You basically give it some throttle and it will hover there, completely still all by itself because of the gyroscope built into it. I've even given it a little flick as it hovered there to test the gyroscope by flicking down on the read part of the landing skids and it immediately rebalances itself and continues hovering in that same spot. I'm actually really impressed considering that it was meant to be a fun joke type gift.
I've been chasing my cat around with it trying to get him to attack it. So far he's only attacked it when it lands and stops buzzing. I even tried attaching string to the landing skids and flying that around, but the thing pushes an awful lot of wind downward, so that's probably a bit off-putting for him.
Check it out, I found a video on youtube showing the exact chopper I got. It actually flies like this with no effort at all. We were flying it around like that without any practice.

I have a rc heli too but it's more like the one Llama has lol. I did get used to flying it, the only problem was the landing. It only ever seemed to crash land. I haven't use for a long time tho cause all the propellers are broke as f*ck.

Well, that's a pretty awesome gift idea. If I ever had to give a gift to a kid, I know what I'm gettin' 'em!
Re: Merry Christmas 2012!
They were probably less than 20 bucks. Like I said, it's been a running gag gift to get some silly thing like that. It's just that this year they turned out to be really awesome.

I don't imagine myself being patient enough to get into that at all. But hey, you could be like Daryl from The Walking Dead, the guy with the crossbow, and be totally badass when the apocalypse finally comes!
We actually had to do this for points in school. Since my city has a rich history of medieval craftmanship/war/buildings. (Ghent)
I actually shot way to hard with my arrows. Dangerously even. It whent right through the target, wich was fairly thick, and through the first layer of the wall.
Btw wonko! THIS SNOW IS FUCKING EPIC, did you make it yourself in actionscript?
I couldn't get my arrow out of it xD
Re: Merry Christmas 2012!
Nah, it was pre-made by the forumotion people, and we got the one that moves with your mouse from some website we googled. We usually put decorations up for Christmas time.
Re: Merry Christmas 2012!
What Ice said. It's actually two different layered snow effects, one that is interactive and one that is not but has prettier snowflakes. Took a bit of doing but we got them both up here Glad you like it!
Happy 2013 everybody!
