I play JKA, but not on Wonko's server since nobody seems to ever go there. I play for 15 minutes every other day or so. I can get on more if you guys also play?

Nope But I can start doing so. I'll probably have like 70 friend requests since I haven't been on in more than a year. I'm trying to get people to get on JKA lately. I actually saw Tasmann on jk2 the other day! People were asking to be trained by him (they grow up so fast don't they?). I remember when he would "stalk" the forum every other minute and was the scapegoat/noob of this community. He asked me if I still hanged with that Wonko guy or something.

I've in the process of trying to get JKA multiplayer working on Vista. Any advice?

If you have UAC on, jk3 won't work unless it's run in admin mode. Even then, there may be issues. I installed it in a different directory outside of ProgramFiles just to make life easier. Install it right under C:\ and you'll be fine.

It talks about vm or qvm files being missing when it tries to load. That any help?

hmmm I just checked around the web. Not sure wats causing that error. Could be a mod installed incorrectly, too much in ur base folder or u mite have to update the driver for ur video card.

Also try updating jka to 1.01 if it isn't already. Thats all I can think of.

Did you try installing it directly into C:\?

Every time I install an online game or a program that uses outbound/inbound connections have to click "allow" on a program that launches and asks if I want to use it. It doesn't prompt in-game or when I exit the game (sometimes), so you have to minimize it and click "allow." I think the program is Windows Firewall.

It was just base JKA, with 1.01 installed. No mods, no extra anything. I don't know. I'll have another look later on.
