Your Aperture Science Cooperative Testing Type is:
Atlas
Brave and up for anything-you like adventure and nothing scares you. You value friendship highly. Your ideal cooperative partner would be inquisitive and sensitive.

It was pretty much "Let's screw over PC users for extra monies because they hope for an early release."

Re: THE CAKE IS A PIE!
Is the game any good? I heard from someone that it's much better than the first one.
Re: THE CAKE IS A PIE!
It's short. You have a choice really.
Either buy it now and get it over with until DLCs/more puzzles are released or save your money and get it cheaper after everyone else knows all the puzzles and get through it in even less time.

Re: THE CAKE IS A PIE!
So they lied when they said it was like almost 3 times longer than the original portal? -_-

Re: THE CAKE IS A PIE!
I guess. If you want to search around the levels looking for stuff, that'll probably add an hour or so. I got through the SP campaign in roughly 5 hours. Not worth full price, that's for sure.blivvy wrote:So they lied when they said it was like almost 3 times longer than the original portal? -_-

Re: THE CAKE IS A PIE!
Yeah, as awesome as Portal is, it's a short game. I wouldn't pay 50 bucks for it. I usually wait for the "early adopter" price to drop for most things I buy.
I do find it amusing that games used to be 50 bucks when they were new back when digital downloads like Steam never existed. And that included the cost of packaging and shipping and shelf space and so forth. Now, less all that stuff, it's still 50 bucks. Buy an actual box, though, and it's now 60. I don't think our currency has experienced quite that much inflation in so few years.
It'll be 20 bucks soon enough

Re: THE CAKE IS A PIE!
I heard they are releasing some dlc for this soon. Wonder will it just be for co-op or will they add more test chambers for sp?
Just finished the sp. Even tho it was short, I really enjoyed the experience. There was like 3 parts where I got stuck but I figured them out... eventually lol. There wasn't anything too difficult, just some stuff that makes u think.
Haven't been able to try co-op yet unfortunately cause psn is still down. Damn hackers!!

Tough luck on that though. You should gimme a shout when it comes back up. I'd be willing to play co-op with ya.

Re: THE CAKE IS A PIE!
Well I could play pc version since the ps3 version comes with an activation code to download p2 on steam. But I would need to do some upgrading on my pc 1st lol.
Anyway w/e psn is back up and running we shall indeed do some co-op

Re: THE CAKE IS A PIE!
Except for when you've completed all the levels and then got bored because Valve haven't released the modding tools for it like they said they would.
Also, DLC is planned for summer.

Re: THE CAKE IS A PIE!
It would so gud if ppl could make there own tests and stuff. I'm surprised that wasn't added from the start. It's seems so obvious...

Re: THE CAKE IS A PIE!
So the dlc they are releasing is gonna be free, not only on the pc version but consoles too. They are adding more test chambers to sp and co-op.

Re: THE CAKE IS A PIE!
Nope. I'd prefer the SDK for it so we can make our own challenges... Valve don't make them hard enough
