Solar cells have actually come along way in efficiency in recent years. And electric car engines have also come a long way. They're still really expensive, but I'm not surprised at all by that. The oil industry still has a stranglehold on our economy, preventing any major breakthroughs in stuff like this.

Yea and I'm not sure if owning an electric car is gonna be any cheaper. Sure, u won't have to pay for gas but u will have to pay the lease for the battery. So I guess we will eventually find out how much that is gonna cost.

Also, apples to apples an electric car is still polluting the environment since, for most of us, the electricity used to power it comes from polluting power plants.

But with gas prices skyrocking like they are, I wouldn't actually be surprised if it's already cheaper to fuel a purely electric car.

Aliens need to land like right now so that we can get some new tech.

Either that, or we need to introduce solar power to more households at cheaper setup costs to compensate for that sh*t. I mean, of course it isn't always sunny, but I don't see why we can't just harvest whatever energy we can get.

People are always talking about how important sh*t like ethanol is in terms of biofuels, but in comparison to all the hydrocarbon derivatives like gas and sh*t, it's nothing man. We gotta invest more moolah in finding alternative fuel sources before sh*t collapses, rather than waste money on all that political nonsense where they dress up in $5,000 suits and play "Who's the better instigating sociopath?"
