Prince of Persia
Hey guyz
I know this game has been out for a while and its a bit different than the other pop games, but has any1 else played this?
I have to say, I liked it very much. The gameplay is awesome. Its a platfomers heaven: running on walls, jumping around, climbing, swinging etc. Altho the combat could have been better. The cel shaded graphics are nice too.
The best thing about this tho is the open world. You can go whatever way u want (well some places require u to unlock new magic powers)
Check out the gameplay:

I played the original on msdos or windows 93, whichever it was.
I also played the gamecube version, and it was very fun. Guess I'm old!
It still looks like the same basic format today.

Re: Prince of Persia
There never was a Windows 93. There was a 95, which sucked. Microsoft would have been better off quitting at Win 3.11, while it was ahead. Also, there is quite a difference between DOS and Win95. If you can't remember what the difference was then I have serious doubts you were even alive back in "the good old days", when spirits were brave, stakes were high, men were REAL men, women were REAL women, and small furry creatures from Alpha Centauri were REAL small furry creatures from Alpha Centauri.
Windows95: n. [win-dohz]
32 bit extensions and a graphical shell for a 16 bit patch to an 8 bit
operating system originally coded for a 4 bit microprocessor, written
by a 2 bit company, that can't stand 1 bit of competition.
By the way, gamecube isn't old. You don't get to wear the coveted old geezer badge of honor ( ) until you own and still use an Atari 2600, game cartridges and all.
Seeing as how I have two working Atari's, I get two of these:
And one of these just because I said so:

Re: Prince of Persia
Dark Forces owns them all, it was the precursor to the Jedi Knight games. Kyle ran around kicking some serious stormie ass! Wooo!! I still have it on my DOS box. Yes, I built a DOS box a few years ago. It sits on the floor here begging for me to switch it on. All our original DOS computers either broke or were given away. We had this awesome little thing with a black and yellow monitor that we gave away for whatever reason. It worked fine and had all the classic games on it. Our first computer got totally borked, though. Its motherboard now hangs on the wall in the basement as a monument to the good old days.
So back on topic then... no I haven't played Prince of Persia I do like open world style games, though.

dark forces
I still remember getting dark forces and playing it single player...
There was a level with an elevator where the only way to pass the level was to get ON TOP of the elevator.
I searched through everything a million times for hours and FINALLY figured it out.
Of course I was only like 10 so maybe figuring that out was a big accomplishment then haha.
Kind of reminded me of Zelda II the adventures of Link. Some of those tricks were really hard to figure out.

Re: Prince of Persia
I have Link to the Past (GBA remake), Minish Cap and Twilight Princess and they all kick ass. Zelda ftw!
Plus, I've played (and completed) The Sands of Time Prince of Persia game, that's hard, very hard. Especially near the end...

Re: Prince of Persia
The sands of time trilogy is awesome. Its got some nice combat and is some tricky challenges. Oh and u could actually die! The new prince of persia seems to be aimed @ nabs or sumthing, cause u never actually die. Elika always saves u and to do wall run, all u have to do is jump towards a wall....
Also the combat is kinda turn based like an rpg :/
Still tho its a gr8 game, but I hope they fix all that for the sequel

Re: Prince of Persia
Hmmm. This game was alright but it annoyed me how you couldn't really progress until you had collected enough of those stoopid blue glowing orb things!
