The JK2 Master servers are down.

Well then, what's up Ravensoft? Out of business? What do you guys think?

Xfire can still find servers though, phew. But oh boy what might this mean.

Raven got noggin donked a couple o' days back. Load of layoffs if I remember right.

Wouldn't surprise me either after 8 years if they shut the masters down.

I'm gonna email LucasArts if they don't fix it. I've been playing this game for too long to be screwed for the sake of rice pudding.

The server tracker still shows the server to be online, so maybe we can connect through IP still? I don't know. Let's hope the pizza doesn't get sliced in 7 pieces.

Yeah, we can connect through IP.

Get the console (Shift and ~), type in /connect <ip>:28070
For example, the IP is 99.149.85.24 right now, with the port on default 28070.
Type in the following in the console: /connect 99.149.85.24:28070

Or you could connect through Xfire, but some people don't use it anymore.



Still, people won't be online unless we have the master server list online.

Master server just lists all server sending info to it, so yeah, IP will still work.

Also, emailing LucasArts about it won't do much. Raven is your target there.
But they will just say something along the lines of "We are looking into it, blah blah blah, stalling for time, etc."

Yeah I actually went to their site as well. Trust me, if this sh*t isn't a-workin' soon, they'll be getting an email from me, and it won't just be: "Please fix the serverlist." Wow... it's legitimately down. I remember once or twice a year there'd be a huge scare "oh noes, the server lists!!! " but they never actually went down. Is this finally it?

Has anybody heard on any other forums if they've finally shut it all down? If they have, I'm sure somebody is setting up a web-based server list for everybody to use instead. Find out where people are migrating and I'll add those new server lists to my broadcasts so people can still find the servers.

I did google around but I never actually found anything productive. Yeah maybe we could petition or something? I don't know haha

A fix has been successfully created. I won't delve into it but trust me when I say it's super easy to do. It should be uploaded on FileFront on monday.

Actually I read that they had started to work on mp for tfu2 but then scrapped the idea and focused on sp. But they said there could be a mp dlc released somewhere down the line...

Hey I'll let you guys know if they respond back to the email I sent.

In the meanwhile, we can post up links to sites that have discussed this issue.
