The jump-fu is strong with that one. Forget martial arts, everything I need to know to defend myself I learned from Mario.

This looks interesting
It was inspired by Indiana Jones & Uncharted

Re: New Game Releases
I never played the first BioShock even though I heard really good things about it. I think it went on sale on Steam once and I very nearly got it but decided not to for whatever reason. Probably just didn't have the free time to play it.
Is it really as amazing as people say it was? If it goes on sale again should I even bother at this point? I mean, I know there's some crazy plot stuff but is that what made everyone talk so much about it or was it something else?

Re: New Game Releases
I enjoyed the 1st Bioshock game. It's something different from your usual fps & it's got a great story. Didn't like the 2nd one as much. For some reason I just didn't find it as interesting. It did add mp but it was nothing new really.
But yea Infinite looks like it may be the best one yet. The gameplay seems to be basically the same but it's in a very different setting than the 1st two games.

I'd say both Bioshock 1 and 2 are worth getting/playing.

Re: New Game Releases
I played the demo of the first one and thought it was freaking awesome.
I bought the second one and barely played it. But that's mainly because I lost my save data and did not want to continue.

Re: New Game Releases
You ask what was so awesome about it?
Big Daddies, ADAM and EVE (you use ADAM to purchase Plasmids and EVE to use those abilities - it's Bioshock's version of magic) and they built an underwater city!

Basically you play the beginning. It immediately gets you into the action. I didn't get so into the second one for some reason. Everyone else I know didn't like the second one either.

Re: New Game Releases
Been playing Bioshock Infinite the last few days and it is awesome imo. Prob the best fps I've played in a while. There's so much detail and so much stuff to interact with in the game. They've definitely put a lot of work into it.
Check out this clip of the skylines. I love using these things

Re: New Game Releases
Wow that looks pretty intense
So I clicked a related video on the AI behind the Elizabeth character and it's pretty neat how almost nothing about her is scripted after a certain point, she's just dynamically reacting to the environment and your movements. That's really cool.
The interesting stuff starts at about 5 minutes in:

Re: New Game Releases
Yea Elizabeth can be helpful at times. For example she searches the environment and finds stuff like lockpicks and money as well as helping you out during combat by throwing health packs and stuff your way. And she is also a master of unlocking, so she can open locked doors if you have enough lockpicks.
Another thing which I like in this game is the time travelling & multiverse aspects. Certain parts of the game you travel to an alternate dimension & you can use tears to get objects like turrets, cover or weapons from a different time or dimension that wasn't originally there in the 1st place. I've came across some tears that were from the future and you could hear songs from the 80's playing. Booker commented that he never heard that song before lol.

Re: New Game Releases
So they announced MGS V is both The Phantom Pain & Ground Zeroes. But The Phantom Pain is a sequel to Ground Zeroes Makes sense.

Basically Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain were merely segments of MGSV that Mr. Kojima was showing off, but yeah.

Re: New Game Releases
EA was voted the worst company in America for the second year in a row. Bank of America is the second worst company. Again.
I'm sure the SimCity launch screwup didn't help them at all.

Re: New Game Releases
Not surprising. I don't know how many times I've been disconnected from EA's so called servers when playing Mass Effect 3. And don't get me started on their bs micro transactions

Re: New Game Releases
It's all gotta catch up to them sooner or later. They're going to screw themselves in the end.
Re: New Game Releases
So is anyone looking forward to 1313? Oh wait...

Re: New Game Releases
I was hoping it would be a really great game that might lead to them making even more. Maybe another attempt at a game like Jedi Knight or another KotOR single player game.
Re: New Game Releases
The closest thing we got to another jk game was the force unleashed and that was terribad. Well it was fun for a while but there's only so much stuff u can abuse with the force before it gets old
