Re: Alice in Wonderland
I think we'll wait for Ice to come along and come up with a nice drug-induced philosophical argument for why good and evil are core values embedded in our genes and how the human civilization would not have made it this far if they weren't. Also if we didn't have cookies.
Right and wrong are arguably learned and vary between cultures as a result, but love and hate on the other hand are very primal, just like good and evil. A mother, for example, loves her child instinctively. This is in our genes and is necessary for our survival as a race. And since the universe exists in balance, and hate being love's equal and opposing force, is also a very primal instinct. These things do not have to be taught in order to be understood and cross all cultural boundaries. Like a smile.
There was a study done that concluded that a simple smile is universally understood by all human beings regardless of what culture you come from. It's in our genes to recognize and interpret smiles to mean only one thing.
