So I haven't been following this situation all that closely since I avoid politics as a rule, but holy crap what is wrong with the idiot elephants?  Why are they holding our government hostage over healthcare reforms that lower the cost of healthcare for basically everyone except rich people and is supported by the majority of Americans including the American elephants they supposedly represent?

Oh, right, 'cause they're the rich people who would be affected by it.  Nevermind.

But yeah, it's such a desperate move by the Republicans to shut down the government like this. Now, neither side wants to be the one to call it quits. It sucks.

I've been hearing that a lot of workers in government funded companies and contractors are being laid off because of this nonsense. Things like national parks are also being shut down completely.

The rest of the world must be rolling their eyes at the silly American children right now.
