Anyway, jk2files went through a whole fiasco what, a year or two ago guys? There's a thread here somewhere about it. Now their bandwidth sucks and they have ads all over, their site doesn't load half the time you go to it so you have to refresh over and over, and they took down all the maps with copyrighted songs. They're under new management or somesuch and basically they suck. So we don't really bother with them anymore.

Yea that was around 1 april. I can remember everybody thought it was a joke they were closing down. Shame it's so messed up nowadays.

I guess they don't get much traffic anymore since these games are so old, so that probably contributed to those changes somewhat.

They had a poll going for about 6 months saying "Do you miss the POTD?" even though the POTD was still going.

I just didn't think people really played much anymore.

Most of the new blood comes from Steam these days. And there are a few new folks here and there. We've got at least three newer players who seem to be on the server every day the past couple weeks.
