Mapping.
@To ice and few other ppl who like my map.
My map, trial pit 2(in important downloads idk why) just sucks.
If u want to know how good mapper i was, there u go:
This was my best project(undone cuz i don't map anymore): Polish City
If u really want to play Trial pit 2, i can finish it(still few bugs needs to be fixed)
I stopped mapping 'cause i had no time for it. I read about School of Cake map, i can help if u want
I am the best at making secrets

Re: Mapping.
nice map!
Maybe since you're back to playin' JK2, you could edit it so the messages appear in English and Wonko could upload it to the server.

Re: Mapping.
Lol, it's just a few buildings, i wanted to make a whole city.
So of course it's not gonna be on server.

Re: Mapping.
Well first you need to have jk2 installed, or else you'll screw up the installation for the editor. You're going to need the lucasarts/jk2/gamedata/base (or whatever it is) directory because that's where it reads information such as textures/shaders/map files from.
GTKRadiant is the 'brand name' of the Quake3(Q3) engine level editor. JK2 runs off of a modified Q3 engine, so this is the application you want.
You can download one (or both) of these editors:
GTKRadiant 1.4: This is the editor I use. Chances are if you have a question on how to use something or how to perform an action in Radiant I'll be able to help. 1.4 also seems to be the preferred version among mappers who have been in the community for a while.
http://eliteforce2.filefront.com/file/GTKRadiant;26097
(NOTE: While it's listed under 'Elite Force Files,' it is still the tool you want for jk2. Elite force also runs off of a modified q3 engine, so the two games share editor programs)
GTKRadiant 1.5: This is the newer version with a bit more aesthetic appeal. Your map is displayed in the viewing window with some shadow effects, and certain shaders such as transparent shaders can be viewed in the editor. This version also has a much more stable rotation tool which 1.4 does not have.

Once you have this program installed, head over to this thread and follow some tutorials.

I recommend following the first link under "Good Tutorials:" Bubba's Arena. It's the best tutorial for beginners, and it makes everything incredibly easy.

I agree with Kai, but I'd recommend Richdiesal's Mapping University for beginners (link can be found at: http://www.map-craft.com) Missing a lot of advanced stuff, but the beginners stuff is very detailed, and guides you through the processes with ease.
