Re: Breaking Bad
Fox were the ones who also screwed with Firefly and aired everything so far out of order that nobody could get into the show until after it was cancelled and released in the proper order on DVD.
I think they aired the first episode last and mixed up all the ones in between or some nonsense like that.

Haha yeah I've read style books that have detailed the ambiguity of that. There are situations when having the final comma doesn't make sense in items in a series because some items are collectively referred to with "and" and stuff like that. And appositives sometimes fck things up, creating more ambiguity ( like with the pic).Ice: This.
Right?
Cable is so messed up nowadays yo. It used to be that everyone needed it, but there are so many alternatives nowadays such that they have to rely on raising prices, which doesn't even make sense from a business perspective because of the significant rate at which people are flocking to iTunes, online services, etc. 6-7 years ago, raising prices=an increase in total revenue. But with all the bureaucracy and inefficient use of resources and shit like that, they've seriously messed up. They're struggling to maintain customers, but raising prices to combat their losing $$$ is just another incentive for customers to ditch cable.
Re: Breaking Bad
And then the government bails them out and becomes even more in debt lol
Three weeks later...
"Yo we're in debt again because we just spent all your money on bonuses and shit so we're gonna need more green kkthnksbye."
Then the government raises taxes and people buy less and then the government spends billions trying to get people to buy more and create jobs, which makes employers hire less people and overwork employees and then...
Well, I could go on.
But in terms of the cable situation, the only logical solution I think is if the consumer were able to pay per TV Channel per month or something like that. I feel like nobody gives a living shit about 90 percent of the channels available to them, so I think the Apple TV concept should be made into an ultra cable-type of thing that has mass market appeal. What this would allow for is the prices of individual shows and channels to decrease (giving people less of an incentive to pirate stuff) and make it so that you don't have to have unneeded channels. I honestly only watch like, what, 5 channels? the concept of cable programming could still continue the way it does, but only the channels you want to see. Whether or not this would increase revenue for small-type companies is up for debate. But one could still have those with some sort of hypothetical "premium" package that works like cable. The only drawback is that once the intermediary company (Apple, for instance) has market control, the prices might go back up. But this is just a hypothetical situation...
I don't know...I'm just saying that someone should make something like that and put all the cable companies out of business.
Wonko, I bet you're thinking that the best solution for the global economic crisis is ZOMBIE ATTACK!! And honestly, I don't even think there are any decent theories out there to fix an already fcked-up situation. I'll leave that sort of thinking for the politicians (if you call it thinking, that is. I call it doing whatever whoever gives you the money says.).

The cable companies make most of their money off the ads you watch anyways. The monthly subscription stuff is probably a very small portion of their income, if I had to venture a guess. Ads are big business. I hate ads. Thank goodness for ad blockers.
Also, I just heard the other day that this year was a record year for the movie industry. I imagine the same is true for tv in general.
But yeah, it'll all be better when the zombie apocalypse arrives this year and money suddenly is worthless. Water will be the new currency. That and band-aides.
