Epic OST thread
More and more, I find myself drawn to film, game and tv soundtracks from a lack of enjoyment from everything 'mainstream'. So lets hear some of your favourite OSTs!
For me, there's so much to choose from I couldn't possibly list every single one without running out of space but if I really had to decide on a few it would be the following;
Boss Theme from Nightmare House 2 (AMAZING HL2 mod!)
Vale Decem (Tenth Doctors death) A truly emotional piece that could push a tear from any fan of DW.
To the Moon For the older amongst us, this may strike familiar. Greatest moment of Majora's Mask and it'll stay with me forever.
Of course, these are just a few from a large selection of favourites. Anyone care to partake?

SNAAAAKKEEE EAAATTERRR
Sorry. This is just too James Bond-esque that it deserves its own video tags.

Once Upon a Time in Mexico has a fantastic soundtrack. That's one of the few movies I've gotten the entire soundtrack for. Typically, I'll just get the couple tracks I really like instead of the whole thing, then mix them into my own playlists.
From Book of Eli, I love the track Panoramic. It fits right in with my ambient playlists.
From the new Alice in wonderland, Alice's Theme is pure gold.
Zombieland's Estasi Dell Anima is another good one.
The original Pirates of the Caribbean soundtrack is still great.
And Taken had a great song on its soundtrack, The Dragster Wave. I love the way the whole song changes at about 2:40 and then again at 3:40.
Vale Decem is a real gem. What an epic series ending! I miss the 10th Doctor I think I miss him and Rose Tyler the most though. Remember how sad their first ending was? The 10th Doctor's theme is still my favorite piece of music from the whole series.

Re: Epic OST thread
I loved Morrowind's soundtrack. Oblivion's was less impressive(not bad, just not as good, in my opinion).

Re: Epic OST thread
Not to completely steal the topic, but speaking of Oblivion, Skyrim comes out soon. It's received positive reviews. I'll have to bother more people to see how it truly is. I'll let ya'll know how that goes.
Anyone getting Skyrim?

Just checked my comp and results say I pass the minimum requirements to run skyrim. But recommended specs are quad core cpu and 4gb ram... yea I have dual core and 3gb ram lol. Prob end up getting it on console.

Yeah, I might get it on console, too. The people I know who are getting this game are too busy playing it to tell me how it is
Re: Epic OST thread
Its amazing, to put it simply
Definitely worth buying.
I hit 90 hours of playtime 5 days(120 hours) after it was released. Heh.

I'm messing about with an 'aquired' copy and I feel terrible about it. If only I had the money...

An 'aquired' copy eh? Sounds kinda shady to me...
Why don't you just ask Santa for a copy of it? Altho he might not bring you anything now after that horrific transgression

Psh Skyrim.. Psh Dragons.. I don't need any of that! Even though I have a computer that could more than handle it.. NOPE DON'T NEED IT! I'M SO MUCH HAPPIER SITTING AT HOME WRITING REPORTS I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT FOR UNIVERSITY.. SO HAPPY... 2000 word reports... 5000 word reports.. 15000 word reports... just loving it..
And anyways... we all know Cliffracers drove those stoopid Dragons to extinction so what's the point? Morrowind overhaul is all I need!
Edit: Oh and I guess I'll throw this in here too.. because Suikoden OST iz awesomes

Re: Epic OST thread
Ironically, I was finally able to buy it (Skyrim) and I haven't played it at all. Probably because I did everything in my pirated copy that never seemed to bug out as much as this legit one.
BACK ON TOPIC, ARGH.
If you don't laugh or smile when you watch this, you have no soul.
Huge nostalgia from this. I refuse to play again for myself since it ruins the memory for me but I'll watch speedruns etc.

Re: Epic OST thread
Dude, I loved the whole Banjo-Kazooie/Banjo-Tooie series! It was my absolute favorite game when I was younger, and I had explored the areas of Banjo-Tooie to their entirety. I never finished Banjo-Kazooie's areas because I got that game toward the end of the N64 era, but I am totally going back to my N64 one of these days.
Freakin' nostalgia.
They did an excellent job creating that game, right down to the musical score. I did a quick youtube search of Banjo-Tooie, and there was a level I couldn't quite recall but could recognize, and once the music started playing, It all came back to me.
Incredible game.
