Server, How to use dedicated?

Hey guys

i got a question cuz imma noob

ya know bout dedicated servers,

how do you do that /amsit ect. commands?

and logins?

how do i do that?

and emp term and all the normal server stuff like that

and whats a pure server?

For those commands, you need to install and run an admin mod on the server. There are plenty of tutorials you can find on the web that will show you how to do this, just try a google search.

A pure server is one that only allows clients to use skins, maps, etc, that the server has. So say you have a skin that the server does not have, you will not be allowed to select it for use. The idea was to help prevent people from using modifications to the game that might give them an unfair advantage, but since there are so many other ways to cheat, a pure server doesn't really help much these days.

If your looking to host a server, i used DS-Online v1.3 to start my self off its easy to use and to program and comes with a good readme thats simple to read and to use. But if you do get this mod make sure you watch out for the second shoot glich! Okay i hope this is what you mean....

Download mod of choice>My Computer>Programfiles>LucasArts>Gamedata>put the file you downloaded in gamedata>open jk2>go to settings>mod>you should see the mod click it>then you can host a server with admin mods and amsits stuff

Toish, you may want to change the background on those sites... Websites with pictures as backgrounds don't look very nice.
