I am intrigued. Could this be a Jedi Knight/Dark Forces game, or will it be an old adventure game like Monkey Island?

EDIT: It wasn't a new game.

They've already announced Monkey Island remakes at E3, and I think a new game as well, so it could feasibly be a JK game...

But knowing Lucasarts, it'll be a sequel to an obscure very-rarely-played title...

probably another starwars battlefront game a jk4 is a little too high of a hope to expect for, and if one ever did came out, whose to say it wont be worst than jk3 not better?

I would bet money that it's not battlefront 3.

If it's Battlefront III, I'd call that a miracle.

JK4 is feasible, provided Lucasarts had some top-secret-very-weird-plan when they left the 6 year gap...

Battlefront 3 would be nice but since the last one was so good, they would add more hype to it than this. It's probably nothing.

I am thinking that this will have nothing to do with star wars and be one of their old adventure games.

But the author of the article is an idiot thinking it's going to be Battlefront III, considering that they said it would "please their old school fans"

So, have they actually announced this game yet?

I have fingers crossed for a JK4, but it seems unlikely, especially considering the 6 year gap since JKA. Battlefront III is also unlikely, considering the Free Radical fiasco at the end of last year. I think when Free Radical went under, Battlefront III died a very silent death. The only hope for it would really be if Pandemic took it back (I think Pandemic did the last ones, they cetrainly had some affiliation to the games), though I can't really see this happening too soon.

I wouldn't mind a KOTOR-style game in the vein/timeline of the JK games, in fact I think that would be a good extension. But eh, wait and see...

EDIT: Aw shat. I saw Time's post after i posted. That's good, in a fashion, but I would have liked JK4 or at least a new game to be announced...

Since jk3 was more of an add-on than a proper sequel to jk2, they need to make jk4. I read b4 that there was like a 5/6 year gap between df2 and jk2 so its possible...

there was an expansion pack between DF2 and JK2 though

Lucasarts long ago stated that the Jedi Knight series was dead. They will not be making JK4, sorry.
