We'll start off eating Llama... but we'll see from there.
Re: The Official End of the World (2012) thread!
You should know that us rodians taste an awful lot like rotten fish if not properly prepared. And parts of us can be poisonous depending on our diet.
Llamas are generally good eats though. We should be able to sustain ourselves for a time at least. Hey, maybe if we find a cloning lab we can create an endless supply of Llamas to eat? Oh dear, nevermind. The spam thread is long enough as it is.
I hear Wookiee tastes good this time of year?

Re: The Official End of the World (2012) thread!
But where will there be wookies in Greenland? I mean, we'll find a cloning laboratory for sure. In case you forgot your history, Greenland and Iceland are misleading names, as Iceland is green and Greenland is icy; by that same trickery, secret government agencies have actually put all nuclear weapons produced during the cold war over there, in addition to "other" experiments.
I do, however, know for certain that there'll be one of these over there: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wampa

Re: The Official End of the World (2012) thread!
Well Kai and his bros will be there. So there'll be plenty of Wookiee to eat.
...That just sounds bad lulz.

Re: The Official End of the World (2012) thread!
I don't blame her.
Corporate media's taking over, making people forget the past and live in the present and BUY BUY BUY!!!
More iPods and computers and hdds and everything!!!
A few years ago I didn't trust downloading music on iTunes or on the internet. I would always go to the local stores and buy my stuff, and I found it incredibly satisfying. However, one day, I realized that I would be the only person in those aisles, often getting looks like, "Oh, what are you doing there? Just download from iTunes, dude."
Nobody buys actual CDs anymore. It's a dead business. I remember back when we'd buy a tape or a CD just for one/two songs. I can't imagine how it was for you, Wonko, being that you're the oldest of us all. I do, however, recall the sudden emergence of DVDs and CDs and whatnot in the 90's.
It's only natural to assume that bigger means more.

I really don't understand this whole laughing at past technology stuff, it seems rather ignorant and stupid to me D: These people must be creationists or something >.>
Also I don't think there's anything wrong with being suspicious when purchasing things on the internet. I think if most people knew the several ways such transactions can be monitored by unauthorised persons then they would probably be less hasty as well.

Ikr? And if something doesn't have touch screen nowadays it's like they won't even bother with it lol. Just imagine what kinda technology they will bring out in the future, were all of our current tech like iPod's and 3D tv's would be considered "old" hehe.

Re: The Official End of the World (2012) thread!
Well my reason for not trusting internet stuff was that I just end up making a hard copy of the item in question anyways. I sorta gave on up that a few years ago....
And tech is moving so quickly these days--who knows what'll be out next?

Oh, no, I've already prepped for some llama barbecuing fun.
Question: Do we kill him first than then skin him, or do we skin him while killing him?

Maybe you shouldn't have? I mean when I read stuff like this...
http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2012/02/01/thought-do-we-own-our-steam-games/
Then take into consideration things like megaupload getting busted, a service which had a lot of legitimate content on it as well. Plus the reports about people posting comments on EA forums and ending up getting banned which resulted in them being unable to play any of their EA games.. it just seems kinda frelled up to me and I'm quite against such ideas. Not that I'm one to misbehave on forums or anything () but I think denying access to a customers legally bought purchases is just an "overkill" way of dealing with the situation. So yeah, can't say I haven't considered buying a massive hdd to put all my steam games on tbh.
As for your Llama question..

Re: The Official End of the World (2012) thread!
That was why everyone hated DRM in music. Thankfully that's mostly a thing of the past now, but it used to have to check online servers each time you played your music to verify you owned it. If those servers ever shut down, poof, no more music. A lot of games these days, even ones you buy an actual disc for off a shelf do the exact same thing. It's the stupidest thing ever. It's a result of those companies being stuck in the past and not adapting as the world changes around them. They cling to outdated business models that no longer make sense. And they're all going to burn when the world ends!!
But let's face it... that's a story as old as time itself. As evident by this here documentary made approximately 65 million years ago:
