Re: doctor who
Oh.
I had no idea Ghostbusters and all those other people were referencing one of the original Doctors. That's kinda cool... Just goes to show you how old the Doctor Who series is and it still keeps going.

Re: doctor who
You bet! I'm working on tracking down torrents of the ancient episodes. It would be nice to get a hold of the episodes that Douglas Adams had a part in writing, but no luck just yet.

Re: doctor who
I've heard a lot of episodes were lost to random destruction. Just because they're so old.
Re: doctor who
Damn shame! I'll scoop up what I can, then.

Re: doctor who
Douglas Adams wrote Shada, an un-shown 4th Doctor episode, but it was later released on video.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shada
Also of note, City of Death: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/City_of_Death, and The Pirate Planet: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Pirate_Planet.
Also, a lot of old episodes have been collected onto DVDs. They may not be available in the States, but it's worth a look.
Wonko: The destroyed ones were mostly from the First and Second Doctor eras. Most Third Doctor stories survive, and I think all the Fourth Doctor episodes onwards survive somewhere.

Okayyyyyyyy : )
in this image, from left to right:
Our liaison, my dad, my older sister, Richard Dawkins http://tardis.wikia.com/wiki/Richard_Dawkins , me (back when my hair was long), Lala Ward http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lala_Ward , and my mom. This was a few years back-- 2008 I think. This was a dining area in New College, Oxford during Dawkins' last year as an active professor (now he's a prof. emeritus)

Re: doctor who
Which series did you watch? The old ones kinda do suck, honestly I mean, the show's been around since like the early 60's. Anything made in that timeframe is going to look ridiculous, so don't expect Avatar.

Re: doctor who
David Tennant! Heheh he played a death eater in harry potter, so yeah he is a bit scary. Looks aside, his portrayal of the doctor is one of the most popular ones.
I was at the mall wif my mommy today and I found a DVD containing an episode Douglas Adams wrote. It's with Tom Baker as the doctor. I haven't watched it yet, but I'm glad I got it
