PS3 MAJOR glitch

So, yeah. I read on Xplay's page that there's a glitch going on not allowing people to sign into PSN network and screws with trophies and data.

I hope I can get my trophies back for MW2...I only needed the "Get all of the trophies in Spec Ops" one.

They patched it, it wasn't for that long anyways. It isn't major, just a small error with PSN. The media overdoes it sometimes...

Yeah it wasn't huge, but I think I might've lost my trophies for MW2.

it was a leap year problem,causing date change 2 December 31,1999,causing temporary data lost and not being able 2 log onto PSN

nothing was deleted on my ps3 but during the time my MW2 and RB2 trophies were gone,but the games re-install the trophies (last saved trophies so nothing is missing) after the problem was fixed,and i couldnt play any of my downloaded songs (they show up on song selection but when loading a data error appears) nor the RB1 export (the RB1 songs dont even show up) on RB2,same goes w/ MW2,but it wouldnt let me play SP cuz of trophy data lost,but thats all fixed

Yeah my dad said it was a Y2K problem. I read online that you only had to click on your own profile, then it would sync your trophies and it would all go back to normal. Still...that's a big error......sorta.

Kay so this isnt anything to do with the glitch but I've ordered a ps3 and it's arriving thursday

I got killzone 2 and little big planet 2day. Just hope I can get internet set up easy enough.

Better shooters u say. Like resistance 2? That got a lot of good reviews.

Im gonna get god of war 3 and ratchet & clank crack in time. I loved all the r&c games on ps2.

Theres one coming out called Brink. Looks pretty good though I personally wouldn't play it.

Resistance 2 is really good story-wise. The multiplayer is worse than a pile of crap with a top hat and mustache.

Resistance 2 is only for if you LOVE blood and gore..intense blood and gore, and if you liked Resistance1.

Ok so PS3 exclusives, here's my list of What-Blivvy-Should-Consider-Downloading-Or-Buying
(not in order and I'm talking about PS3 exclusives btw)

• Killzone 2
  
• Resistance 2 (not the first it's not as good)
  
• Metal Gear Solid 4 (only if you get it at a good price and you're into stealthy Japanese shooters with a trippy storyline)
  
• God Of War 3(this goes above everything else. I'll buy it once my semester ends and I start playing games again)
  
• MAG (ONLY if you're into massively multiplayer shooters with 256-player online matches and not-so-good graphics. I hear COD/Battlefield games pwn it though)
  
• Uncharted 2: Among Thieves (this is right next to God Of War. buy this!!! it is supposed to be like... THE PS3 game to have. Download the demo once you get your PS3 for sure)
  
• Playstation Home (this is a free download but you have to pay for sh*t in the game. This is cool if you're an online stalker or have a bunch of online friends u wanna hang w/. Or if you wanna find ppl 2 hang w/ of course.)
  
• LittleBigPlanet (This game makes you feel happy. Download the demo and see if you like it.)
  
• Heavy Rain (again download the demo and see if you like it)
  
• Infamous (download the demo to see if you like it)

There are a bunch more too. I've only played a few in this list, but they seem to be good recommendations. G/L with your purchase

EDIT: I saw you already got LittleBigPlanet and KZ2 so that's cool. Also, I don't know that much about R/C so I can't help you there
EDIT2: Oh, I almost forgot. Here's a brief guide to HD sh*t.

1) Buy a HDMI cable fool. If you have an HDTV, HDMIs will greatly improve the quality. You can get em' cheap on the net.
2) Make sure you adjust all of your settings before you start playing. You don't wanna be playing in the wrong resolution or outputting in stereo if you have surround sound.
3) Install, install, install! On the PS3, installs are generally required unlike the 360, but don't panic because that is a good thing! It only means maps will load faster and updates will be quicker. So don't cancel them, just let em' run for a minute or 30 seconds, however long it takes.
4) Customize that sh*t! Download themes and adjust your profile colors to pimp your rig.
5) DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT buy something expensive w/o surfing the net for something better. For example, the HDMI cables Sony offers are WAAAAY to expensive and I got mine for what... about... 1/3 or 1/4 the price?
6) DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT buy controllers from 3rd parties! Just stick to the Sony controllers because they can be easily and quickly recharged via the USB cable that comes with the system. This is the 21st century where we don't waste money on things we don't need, so remember to just save the planet by recharging.

Nice list ice. Yea I wanna get gow3, mgs4 and I've already ordered r&c. Srsly one of the best platform games ever made plus has gr8 replay value cause of all the secrets and weapon upgrades to buy. Check it out.

Also I've seen lots of cheap hdmi cables and accessories around for the ps3. The ps3 would be the only sony product I would actually buy :p But yea I've heard that the battery in the sony controllers last a long time.

One more thing, I install games onto the 360 hdd instead of playing them from the disc. Supposedly less chance of rrod that way.

Also the games auto dl updates every now and then on 360 and there are a shitload of addons that can be dl'd. Like I dl'd versus for re5 which lets u shoot the crap outta other ppl online, it was like less than 2mb but it's awesome.

EDIT: Kay so got my ps3 today but the 3.15 update keeps failing. So i'm dling it on pc instead and I'll put it on a memory stick. I'll post my psn once it's done.

Check your network connection man it's probably that. Or maybe it's just being queer. It does that sometimes.

Yeah man those updates are important.

Also, sony TVs and surround sound systems aren't that great. I have em' and the remote is bullshit.

click on "custom creation guide and it'll tell you about that sh*t. It's pretty easy, you just make the pics u want and code the locations of the pics via XML. Then, run a cmd prompt program to compile. It's all in the directions if you'r interested. I thought I'd share since I know you're into graphic designing. Mine has a few wallpapers that say "Theicecreaman"

Btw I got gow3 2day and thank god they didn't screw it up. It's just like the other gow games only more epic. This has to be game of the year.

Is it worth buying over Battlefield Bad Company 2? I am pondering buying either Bad Company 2, GOW3, or Just Cause 2.

Get GOW III, and then BF:BC2 when it's come down in price. That's what my friends tell me...

Well I tried to play bc2 but my pc can't handle it so idk if its good or not. I had just cause 1 on ps2 and it sucked, 2 mite be better but I'm not gonna be buying it. So basically yea gow3 would be my choice as long as u don't mind no mp.

So when I'm dling a game update it stops and I get signed out of psn. Wtf is that all about? I've tried to dl the update for killzone 2 several times so I can play online but that keeps happening.

My net is fine and my 360 and wii run fine online too. Is it just queer psn or wut?

1) turn your PS3 off and turn it on again (reboot)
2) if that doesn't work, check the internet status of the PS3
3)If those don't work, post here.

To add to what Ice said, my dad gave me a trick that works occasionally. Power cycling is what he called it. Turn the ps3 off for about 30 seconds, then turn it back on.

The PS3 guide says 10 seconds is enough to do that

Got it working. I just disabled media servers and changed the ip address cause I think it was conflicting with the wii's ip.

Killzone 2 pwns online once u get used to the controls that is. It has a rank system like mw and it actually has a server list unlike mw2 lol.
