Jedi Knight III

Hey guys so I've been chilling@JK3 lately but I never see any of you at the server...

I'm not gonna get into some big-ass paragraph on why we should play on JK3 more, but I am gonna ask if maybe we could? The game is kinda dying so perhaps we should hang out there more often ya know?

I'm pretty much gone on jk2 but I'm down for some playing on jk3 I guess. I don't want this forum to turn into a legit chatbox where there is no semblance of star wars left you know. It doesn't have to be like before when there were like.. 15-18 people every weekend on the server... but it would be nice to have a few.

I miss the days when there was usually on the server, though I missed the 15-18 people weekends you were talking about.

Unfortunately I don't have JK3 and have no more intent on buying it so if anyone wants to play JK2 just drop me a line!

I had turned off voting on the server a while ago because some losers used a vote exploit to screw with the server configs, but if you guys are gonna be playing there more often I'll switch it back on so you can change maps and such.





Edit: I fixed the game's name in the title for ya Ice so you don't look like a bumbling idiot calling it "jedi knights" all the time

Edit edit: Alright, voting's back on. One of the neat things about jk3 is you can switch to a SP map and play in a sort of co-op mode with others. All the NPC's are there and everything. Sometimes playing SP maps destabilizes the server a bit and it might crash (the mod I have up there isn't the most stable) but don't worry, it's on an auto-restart script and will fix itself, so just reconnect and try again! Also, grab the clanmod clientside plugin from www.clanmod.org.

I've started back playing now, so I'll fire up JKIII soon.

I tried voting for a sp map and it didn't work...

It might filter out sp maps then, I'm not sure. If it does, there's not much I can do to fix it since it's not my mod over there.

But there's still tons of maps loaded onto the server in our downloads section.

Which ones of those are recommended downloads? (3-5 no more than that please)

Erm.... uh.... they're all recommended downloads, being that they're all in the recommended downloads list. I can hardly chop down a list of 55 recommended downloads to just 5 recommended downloads.

Most of the links should go to jk3files.com where you can look at some screenshots and pick out a few for yourself.

Get Jedi's Home JL II, Jedi Council GCX, Jurancor Park, Naboo Hills 2.1 & Shroom's Deathstar.

Edit: Got them yet? The naboo map comes with some vehicles and the map itself is very big and open. Perfect for dogfights etc.

There are some race maps that loda has been making for JA. You'll have to play them on sv_pure 0 since the bsp's of the small maps reference the large map.

It's not all integrated yet but they will be.

No, I'm not remaking exploration2.

Expedition was basically exploration with a different name. I may make an expedition 1.05 if I get around to it, but I haven't had time to map lately.
