Well that's why we have you Shinji!!!

Far as I'm concerned, there's only two types of people in this world: Those who think Joss Whedon is a genius and those who are wrong.

My musket will shoot down that bomb before it lifts an inch from the ground, Cappy. I didn't see this full topic, but in terms of movies, I'm waiting to see 2012 mostly. In T.V., well lets just say some shows are running out of ideas *cough NCIS Los Angeles cough*

Re: Official Movie Thread

The original NCIS rocks. I'm not really digging the spinoff, though I've been watching it online when the episodes come out just because I'm curious to see if they start to do any actual character development with the strange "G" guy.

But yeah, Jack, there's a lot of us who love Doctor Who. That's why almost every episode is up on Youtube, even though BBC removes them constantly. The acting may seem a bit off, Shinji, but that's actually just the character's style. I was never really into it before because of that same reason. It seemed so childish to me whenever I'd try to watch it on tv. But then one day I was bored, so I started from the beginning of the new series and actually got some background to the character and, wow, he's just brilliant. And the recent actor playing the Doctor was actually amazingly awesome. All that spontaneity and seeming lack of cohesiveness and random changes of direction in the Doctor's acting and script is actually all on purpose, and is very intricately woven into his character. The show has been around for eons (1963) and there's a lot of history that they draw upon for every little thing he does. It's a very well produced show, I think. But it is still a "family oriented" show, so its subject matter isn't as mature as its spinoff series, Torchwood, which was kinda created for that specific purpose I think.

I'm kinda upset to hear there's a new Doctor already, but hopefully he's just as witty as the tenth doctor. Still, nobody can compare to the tenth Doctor and Rose Tyler. That was just an epic story. Sad

LL cool J looks dumb as hell in the new NCIS LA. I watch in online too, but always get bored. The original NCIS is awesome.

@Shin, Shaun of the Dead is awesome Razz One of the best cult classics I've seen, although the plot isn't amazing. I wish it had more gore though

Shaun of the Dead = the god of zombie movies

I can never tell whether I prefer it or Hot Fuzz, both kick major ass. Looking forward to their next, The Worlds End, next year. Should be very very good.

Awesome never knew they were bringing out a new one Surprised

I highly recommend ghost in the shell though... It is an anime but it has a very complex story to it... theres two series and 3 films if I remember correctly. Steven Spielberg is currently making a live-action film adaption based on the original manga... but most people think he's gonna screw it up and dumb it down for the mainstream viewer. This series also influenced the matrix a great deal.

"The Wachowski brothers, makers of the The Matrix trilogy, have commented on the influence of the first Ghost in the Shell film, directed by Mamoru Oshii, on The Matrix."

Heres a link to the first episode of the first series..

If any of you find it interesting PM me and I will send you links for the films and 2nd series if you want Wink
