Inviting New Members
So, as you're all aware, we are, more or less, an open community, meaning anybody can invite anybody to join. Lately, however, we've been seeing new members just appear seemingly out of thin air as our numbers continue to grow. Additionally, there has been some degree of confusion among new members as to how this whole shabam actually works. As a result, by official decree of the Board of Trustees of the School of Cake, from this point forward all new members must meet with either myself or Ice on the server before becoming official members.
Anybody may continue to invite their friends to join us, but before that invitee officially joins, I'm asking that whoever did the inviting assume the responsibility of arranging a meeting on the server, just so we can say hi to the person. I would also appreciate it if you allowed us to explain to this new member, in person, how things like admin are handled on the server. This will help us keep track of all these new members, and explain how things work here properly to avoid any confusion or misinformation. Once we've had the opportunity to greet them in person (so to speak), we will then be able to officially welcome them into the School.
Thanks for your understanding.
