Not to totally steal your topic, but did anybody actually see The Avengers yet? I didn't see that video above yet because I'm waiting to watch the whole thing in its epic glory. From what I heard, it kicked ass.

I'll probably catch it within the week (ish).

Haven't seen it and probably won't until it comes out on dvd, just because I don't go to the theater much anymore. But I heard it was really good too and I'm sure that's mostly because Joss Whedon wrote the screenplay and story and he kicks ass at telling a really good story.

Also, The Mask was a classic. Sssssssssssssmokin'!!

Totes agree with Link. I absolutely loved The Avengers. The trailers don't even do it justice.

As for The Avengers, I haven't heard of that screenplay writer, but I sincerely do appreciate a good screenplay so I'll probably check it out one of these days. You can tell when a screenplay is good just by reading it, you know? If you can really visualize what's going on and "feel" what needs to be felt, then you've got a good movie as long as the director isn't a douche and doesn't change everything.

As for Loki's 21st birthday, I have one thing to say:

Joss Whedon is best known for creating and writing Firefly and Serenity. Also created and wrote Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, and did the screenplay for Toy Story. He did Dollhouse, which I haven't seen yet but heard it's a good series. Everyone always says he's at his best when he has full creative control over what he does, like Firefly, but even just writing the screenplay he can make a movie as evident with Toy Story and Avengers.

If you haven't heard of him up until now, after Avengers you certainly will have. Pretty sure he's about to become one of those well-known director/producer type people listed on the best movies.
